Discover the art of storytelling through hands-on exploration of genres, dynamic character development, and vivid sensory writing using all five senses. Learn how to build tension that keeps readers engaged while experimenting with different points of view to shape voice, perspective, and emotional impact. Whether crafting fiction or personal narratives, students develop the tools to create immersive and compelling stories.

This session includes four classes, each from 6:30-8:30 pm, Tuesday nights, Oct 5-27.

Classes will be held at On the Hill Art Gallery, 5308 George Washington Highway, Yorktown, VA.

Seats are limited to provide a more personal approach.

Four 2-hour classes focused on:

  • Understand the foundations of compelling writing
  • Develop stronger characters, voice, and structure
  • Learn editing and revision techniques
  • Build a consistent writing habit
  • Create a personalized roadmap for finishing a manuscript
  • Complete a polished writing sample or chapter excerpt

Please bring something to take notes and your laptop for a more hands-on approach.
